The countryside offers a beautiful prelude to the adventure ahead, dotted with Ankole cattle and charming rural landscapes.

Upon arrival, you’ll check into Rwakobo Rock Lodge, an eco-friendly retreat perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the park. After a relaxing lunch at the lodge, the adventure begins with a serene afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where you’ll witness pods of hippos, sunbathing crocodiles, and herds of buffaloes cooling off at the shores. Zebras and impalas often wander close to the lake, and the birdlife is rich with species like African fish eagles, pied kingfishers, and cormorants.
