Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi & Batwa Cultural tour

Following a hearty breakfast, you’ll gather at the briefing point alongside fellow adventurers. Here, you’ll receive essential insights on the guidelines to keep in mind as you journey through the lush jungle to meet the Gorillas, as well as tips on how to respectfully engage with them during your encounter. Your adventure will take you on a thrilling path through lush, wooded hills, winding vines, vibrant bushes, and towering bamboo, leading you to the majestic Gorillas.

As you journey along, your guide will highlight the traces of past Gorilla presence, such as dung, nests, and chewed bamboo shoots. Tracking the Gorillas can be an exhilarating journey, taking anywhere from just 2 hours to a full 8 hours! After you find the Gorillas, your group will have the chance to spend up to one hour with them. This is an incredible chance to connect intimately with the Gorillas.

After a refreshing break at your lodge, you’ll embark on a stroll through the community, connecting with the Batwa people who once called the Bwindi forest home before it became a National Park. Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking in Mgahinga & Transfer to Volcanoes

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, you’ll head to the Park headquarters for an engaging briefing on the guidelines for tracking the Golden monkeys, setting the stage for your exciting journey into the forest to find them. The journey lasts between 1 to 4 hours, and once you spot the Golden monkeys, you’ll have a delightful hour to spend with them. The Journey to Encounter Gorillas in Rwanda & Uganda Adventurous explorers will soon journey to the breathtaking Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Your evening meal and stay will be at the cozy lodge you’ve reserved.

Day 4: Embarking on a Journey to see Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park

Start your day with an early breakfast before gathering at the Kinigi Park Headquarters at 08:00 am. There, park rangers will share important information about the upcoming gorilla trekking adventure.

Your journey begins as you wander along the established paths, leading you into a vibrant volcanic forest teeming with life. Here, you’ll encounter a symphony of birds, a rich tapestry of plants, and the chance to spot golden monkeys, elusive elephants, and buffaloes, all while soaking in the breathtaking views of the volcanic peaks peeking through the trees. The journey features amazing hikes across diverse landscapes, making it a captivating experience on its own.

After an hour of unforgettable moments with the Gorillas, you’ll head back to the lodge to enjoy a delightful lunch.

In the afternoon, you’ll embark on an exciting journey to the stunning twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo, where nature’s beauty awaits. After this adventure, you’ll head back to your hotel for a delightful dinner and a cozy overnight stay.

Day 5: Hike Dian Fossey / Bisoke Volcanoes & Transfer to Kigali

Enjoy a delightful breakfast before embarking on a hike to the Karisoke Research Centre, where you can explore engaging exhibits that highlight the incredible mountain gorillas and the groundbreaking conservation work initiated by Dian Fossey. It also houses the Dian Fossey artifacts, a 3D interactive model of the Virunga Mountains, and casts of actual gorilla nose prints. Overall, the center offers a wonderful chance to discover the fascinating truths that many people are unaware of regarding Mountain Gorillas.
